Mr. Manukrishnan is a counsellor at Punarjani Counselling and a dedicated social work professional and researcher with a strong academic background and a passion for addressing critical issues in mental health. He has two years of clinical experience at the Mother and Baby Unit (NIMHANS’ Perinatal Mental Health Services), where he conducted therapeutic interventions for patients and their families, mother-infant bonding sessions, and provided supervision to M.Phil. trainees.
Mr. Manukrishnan holds a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and an M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Psychiatric Social Work at NIMHANS, focusing on the intersection of gender, mental health, and tribal welfare.
Mr. Manukrishnan’s expertise includes conducting therapeutic interventions for patients and families, mother-infant bonding sessions, and supervising M.Phil. trainees. He specializes in perinatal maternal mental health, tribal mental health, and developing interventions for vulnerable populations.
